26th September 2024 - And Just Like That its SOLD

And the second person through the first open home has purchased the house, today it went unconditional, and already off the Trade Me sight, we move on the 22nd October and takeover for this house is the 25th October. So offer made within one week and 3 open homes later and it is SOLD. 

Am so excited but also nervous, next week I am taking dad to radiation for the week, well Wednesday/Thursday/Friday, my sister is doing Monday and Tuesday and then i is pack pack and pack.

What I am excited about is this will be Davids and my home, no longer David and his ex's home, I feel I can decorate as I like now :).

Monday - 23rd September 2024

Yesterday we had our week 3 open home, and hopefully our last open home, this week crossing fingers both our house and the house we want, will go unconditional, it will be nice to be all settled in by Christmas. But trying not to get to excited cause it can still fall through at our end, though it looks like that shouldn't happen but until the paperwork is signed to go unconditional I have to be still prepared that we have not sold. Its is going to be a long week....

Dad went to the specialist and they are going to do one week radiation on his lymph nodes, and hope's that will help him somewhat. This we think will start next week, tomorrow he is going to get the scan so they can mark exactly where the radiation will all go. 

And just like that, I just got a phone-call, saying that there will be no open home this week, and all they are waiting on is the Lim Report which should not bring up any issues, as the bank is all ok with the builder's/valuers report, so by the end of the week, or early next week at the latest, it will go unconditional..... what a relief, be nice to be all in by the end of October/early November. Not looking forward to the packing and thank god we did a huge declutter/pack already and clean. So one week on the market, when we went conditional. didn't think it would sell that quick, and so glad it is going to first home buyers :). Its an ideal family home :). 

Went and saw dad after the open home yesterday, Steph and Isaac came with us, then had Isaac for the night, we just finished making pancakes for breakfast, well brunch :). 

Anyway am signing of for now, got one massive headache......

WTF, I knew it had been a long time but not that long...... But some big news :)

Such a lot to catch up on..... first off Dad is still with us, a few weeks ago his lymph-nodes under his arms started leaking fluid and also some blood, went to the GP and on Friday he has a specialist appointment with the radiation department again, to see if he can have radiation to try and reduce the lymph-nodes (the cancer has spread to there). We don't think there is anything they can do, but who knows. 

I got really sick some time ago, my sinuses had an infection, and I was a right off for about 4 weeks, my god, I never had a sinus infection so bad.... GP gave me antibiotics for a month, about 3 weeks in, I got a reaction to the antibiotics..... life was so not fun for that time. 

Now for the BIG news, the last 4 weeks, I have been decluttering and that is cause just over a week ago, we put the house on the market, we wanted to be out by next winter but in that time, we found the perfect house in Rotorua and it has a unit on the back for Steph and Isaac, a nice little brick home. It is in a thermal area and we have visited the house a few times as it is empty. Yesterday we spent about 1 1/2 hours there, just sitting in there etc and it felt so good, it has thermal heating and an amazing little plunge pool with thermal heating, my arthritis will love that. It is full of fruit trees etc, consisting of Strawberries/Blueberries/Blackberries/Passionfruit/Blackcurrant/Pear/Apple/Plum/Peach/Lemons and Feijoas x 2, because it is thermal everything grows so well. The builders report will come back today, so hopefully no major red flags. 

Our house went on the market just over a week ago, and one week later we accepted an offer, our offer was accepted on the new house, so now we are just waiting to go unconditional, so at the moment we are still doing open homes and hopefully after today we will only have one or two more max before we go unconditional, All going to plan we should be moving end of October/early November. We never thought we would sell it so quick, it is going to a first time home buyer a young couple. I have met the guy, seems really nice, And it was only  $5000, under what we wanted, cant believe we sold it on our first open home.  . Oh and the neighbours house (who have moved to Auckland), have also put their house on the market the same day lol. It looks like our place  will all fall into place :). Apparently power bills are no higher than $100 a month in the winter :). 

I was fucked after all the decluttering/cleaning etc, my wrist was so so sore, and only now after about 2 weeks, is it finally settling......

I know there is more news, but right now can't think of what it could be lol
